They can be frozen and used at a later date, or you can use them straightaway and add them to a variety of different family meals – incorporate into meatballs, use them to coat chicken or fish, or even top a mac and cheese dish with breadcrumbs for some added crunch.

First up is our Rye Vegan Pizzas – perfect for those on plant-based diets and who have some Seeded Rye Bread slices leftover in their kitchen, wondering what on earth they can do with them.
With our recipe, you can make six mini rye pizzas and basically, top them with whatever you like – we’ve gone for roasted veg, cherry tomatoes, basil and chilli flakes on this.
Next up is our Pizza Fingers – a great lunch or savoury snack idea that uses leftover Baker Street Hot Dog Rolls and transforms them into a speedy meal!
Again, another recipe that you can top with whatever you like – leftover sliced ham, cherry tomatoes and grated cheese was our preference for this one.
Last but not least
And hopefully this one puts a smile on your face – is our Burger Bun Pizza Faces!
A great activity to do with the kids in the kitchen, decorate your toasted bun however you like… and using up those leftover Baker Street Burger Buns will hopefully put a smile on your face too!
Leftover Chicken, Leek & Potato Soup with Giant Croutons
This soup flavour is one of our favourites here at Baker Street HQ, however, the only reason we’ve made this leftover recipe is so that we can serve it with GIANT croutons!
Using up some leftover Seeded Burger Buns, we’ve turned them into mega-sized croutons for our soup because we think you just can’t get enough of those crunchy croutons.
You could use any leftover bread for these croutons – all you’d need to do is chop the bread up into bits, drizzle them with a little bit of oil and seasoning and lightly toast them so they’re golden and crunchy.
Indian Cheese On Toast
Put an Indian spin on a British classic with this leftover recipe: our Indian Cheese on Toast works well really with any kind of sliced bread, but we’ve opted for the last slices of our Seeded Sliced Loaf to add an extra crunch to the meal.
Featuring ingredients that you should have to hand in your cupboard or fridge – spice up you lunchtime or snack in under 10 minutes!
If you’re not a big fan of spice, or want to take the heat down a couple of notches, you could leave out the diced chilli. But if you’re brave, why not add an extra splash of hot sauce on top!
Bread Sausage Rolls
“Can you really make sausage rolls out of bread?” we hear you all exclaim. Yes you can with this leftovers recipe that you’re going to want to impress your family and friends with!
Only using six ingredients, taking only half an hour to make AND you should get enough sausage rolls out of it to serve six, why wouldn’t you give this a go?!

Dinnertime calls for some crowd-pleasing, mouth-watering meal options so we’ve tried to tick all of these boxes and come up with some leftover recipes to tackle food waste that will leave everyone’s plate licked clean and tummies full!
Fish Finger Rolls with Salt & Vinegar Crisps

Using up any leftover Hot Dog Rolls, alongside salt & vinegar crisps, fish fingers and tartar sauce, for this fakeaway-style leftovers recipe for dinner.
Savoury Bread & Butter Pudding
When there’s a great meal concept but you either haven’t got a sweet tooth OR you want to make it work for another meal, Baker Street is here to test out the idea for you!
This savoury version of a classic British pudding brings together a whole host of tasty ingredients – sliced ham, grated cheese, garlic butter and caramelised onion chutney.
The best bit about it is that you can get through all of your Baker Street Brown Sliced Loaf without having to worry about chucking it in the bin! So basically, this Savoury Bread & Butter Pudding is going to be both your food waste and family dinnertime saviour!
Bubble & Squeak Burger
When you have more leftover roast potatoes and veg than you know what to do with, fret not – here’s a dinnertime leftover recipe that will save them from unnecessarily going in the bin.
Our Bubble & Squeak Burgers are very similar to the classic British dish, but just made into burger patties. Inside our toasted Seeded Burger Buns we’ve added the burgers alongside some tomato relish, sliced tomatoes and even added some crispy bacon on top.
The best bit about this meal? Your kids will forget that they’re eating plenty of veg – a win for parents everywhere!
Homemade Breaded Veggie Burgers
Another burger night recipe option but this time, we’ve opted for a veggie burger with a breadcrumb coating so that you can make sure you get through that whole pack of Baker Street Burger Buns without any going in the bin.
Again, similar to our Bubble & Squeak Burger, you can use up any leftover vegetable in this one, plus frozen veg like peas and sweetcorn.
Even the meat-eaters in your family won’t want to pass on eating this burger – it’s a great hidden veggies burger, even for the fussiest of eaters!
Leftover Ham & Vegetable Bake
Whether it’s leftover meat and veg from last night’s dinner or even some bits in the fridge that need using up, this leftover recipe is going to make sure that you save plenty of food from going in the bin!
You can scale this recipe up and down to make larger and smaller portions, and the best bit about the recipe (in our opinion) is that it’s topped with a crunchy breadcrumb topping – another brilliant way of using up any leftover bread you might have at home.
Leftover Chicken & Vegetable Hot Dogs
For a banger with big flavour and packed with leftovers, try out Annabel Karmel’s recipe. Great for nights in with the family, a BBQ or a party, it’s a tasty way to make sure your family are doing their bit to help reduce food waste at home.

Ice Cream Party
A great idea for one of the kids’ birthday parties or even as a way to keep the little ones entertained and fed, this Ice Cream Party Idea is a simple and tasty way to use up any leftover Baker Street Hot Dog Rolls.
All you’ll need to do is pop the Hot Dog Rolls on a table with some bowls of toppings – we’ve gone for fresh fruit, Smarties, cookies pieces, popcorn, mini marshmallows and spinkles – and then bring out the ice cream and some scoops just before you’re ready for the kids to get stuck in.
You could even serve this up as a summertime BBQ dessert station for the kids – but we can’t promise the adults won’t get involved as well!
Chilli & Chocolate Bread and Butter Pudding
If chocolate is your thing but you want to turn things up a notch, then this Chilli & Chocolate Bread and Butter Pudding could be the one for you!
It’s got the right amount of sweet and spice to make anyone fall in love with it, but if you do have someone in your household who is just not a fan of the hot stuff then you simply leave the cinnamon and/or chilli powder out of it.
And for this recipe, we’ve used four leftover Baker Street Burger Buns to make it – but really, any leftover bread will work in this dish.
Hot Dog Roll Eclairs
In a similar crazy breath as to how we came up with our Bread Sausage Rolls, one day we were in the kitchen looking at some leftover Baker Street Hot Dog Rolls and had a lightbulb moment!
Introducing our version of chocolate and cream eclairs but better because you can whip up four at home in 10 minutes with four ingredients, without having to take a step out the front door hunting them down in your nearest supermarket or bakery.
A tasty sweet treat or dessert, plus, you’ve saved a load of Hot Dog Rolls from going in the bin – for the win!
Nutella & Fruit Roll-Ups
Use as a Pancake Day alternative (check out our blog post on this), a sweet snack or even as a treat breakfast. These Nutella & Fruit Roll-Ups are a creative way to use up leftover slices of bread.
For this leftovers recipe, we’ve used six slices of Baker Street White Sliced Loaf rolled out flat and filled with a generous layer of Nutella. Twenty minutes later and you’ve got yourself six servings of sweet pancakes that every family member will want to get their hands on.
Toffee Apple Baked Puddings
Get a load of these super cute and tasty desserts – little pots of sweet joy, tasting just like toffee apples and using up four Baker Street Burger Buns so that they don’t go in the bin.
These are a great family night in dessert, or you could even whip these up for something like Halloween or Bonfire Night.
We love the combination of the juicy apples, chopped dates, sweet toffee sauce and a slight warmth from the cinnamon in this dessert.
