Kids will have fun decorating them however they like, and in 20 minutes you’ll have a crowd-pleasing dish to serve up. We’ve used our Baker Street Burger Buns for this recipe, as they’re they perfect size for your little chefs to decorate them, as well as eat them once they’re cooked.

If you have any leftover burger buns from a BBQ or burger meal night, then this could also be a way to use them up and save them from the bin!

To make a vegetarian or vegan alternative

Leave out the pepperoni slices, opt for a vegan-friendly grated cheese and go wild on your favourite veggie toppings!

Ingredients

  • 6 Baker Street Burger Buns
  • Tomato passata
  • Grated cheese
  • Pepperoni slices
  • Black olives, sliced
  • Green pepper, sliced into small triangles
  • Pickle, sliced in half lengthways

Steps

  1. Pre-heat your oven to 200°C, 180°C Fan, or Gas Mark 6
  2. While you wait for the oven to heat up, it’s time for the kids to make their pizza faces. Hand over a pre-sliced Baker Street Burger Bun to each child, then ask them to carefully spread a small spoonful or two of tomato pasta onto each slice, then sprinkle some grated cheese on top.
  3. Next, it’s time to decorate – use our photo as a guide if you like. Ask them to add a slice of pepperoni on top for the face, then use a couple of sliced black olives for the eye, the triangle-shaped green pepper as a nose and the sliced pickle as the mouth.
  4. Place each pizza face on a baking tray and cook in the oven for around 10 minutes, until the cheese has melted. Remove from the oven, serve and enjoy!
