Chilli & Chocolate Bread And Butter Pudding

Ingredients

  • 4 Burger Buns, torn into pieces
  • 20g unsalted butter
  • 300ml double cream
  • 50g dark chocolate, chopped
  • 1 ½ tsp sugar
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract
  • ¼ tsp cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp cayenne pepper or chilli powder
  • 1 large egg, lightly beaten

Steps

  1. Pre heat your oven to 180°C, 160°C Fan, Gas Mark 4. Grease your ovenproof dish with some extra unsalted butter.
  2. In a saucepan over a low heat, cook the unsalted butter, cream, chopped dark chocolate, sugar, vanilla extract, cinnamon, cayenne pepper and a pinch of salt, stirring constantly until the chocolate is melted and everything is combined – around 1-2 minutes.
  3. Remove the pan from the heat then whisk in the lightly beaten egg until combined
  4. Add the torn pieces of your Baker Street Burger Buns into your greased ovenproof dish, then pour the chilli chocolate mixture on top
  5. Heat in the oven for between 15-20 minutes. Serve alongside vanilla ice cream, cream or custard – whatever your favourite is
