For those days when you fancy treating yourself or a loved one to an egg-stra special brunch or lunch, this Poached Egg & Parma Ham on Rye recipe is one to try and only takes 10 minutes to make! Using slices of our Baker Street Seeded Rye Bread, which is packed with a delicious, rich flavour, alongside a poached egg, slices of Parma ham and fresh spinach, makes for a simple but tasty dish.

Ingredients

  • 2 slices Baker Street Seeded Rye Bread
  • Butter
  • 2 eggs
  • A handful of spinach
  • 4 slices Parma ham

Steps

  1. Toast the slices of your Baker Street Seeded Rye Bread to how you like them and butter
  2. Meanwhile, bring some water to the boil in a small pan before cracking in the eggs. Cook on a medium heat for 3 minutes to poach.
  3. Whilst your eggs are cooking, pop as much spinach as you want onto the toasted and buttered Seeded Rye Bread slices before layering on the Parma ham
  4. Once the eggs have finished cooking place them on top of the Parma ham
  5. Serve with some cooked cherry tomatoes if you’re feeling extra fancy
