Try making this Indian-style cheese on toast – perfect as an upgraded cheese on toast snack or meal, or even serve as finger food at your next party.

With a little bit of curry powder, chopped spring onion and fresh chilli and coriander, it couldn’t be easier to spice up your cheese on toast of Baker Street Seeded Sliced Loaf and whip up something a little different for lunch in under 10 minutes.

To make a vegan alternative

Swap out the cheese for a vegan-friendly alternative.


  • 4 slices Baker Street Seeded Sliced Loaf
  • 200g grated cheddar cheese
  • 2 tsps mild curry powder
  • 2 spring onions, sliced
  • 1 red chilli, deseeded and diced
  • Handful fresh coriander, chopped


  1. In a bowl, mix the grated cheese with the curry powder and sliced spring onions
  2. Grill each side of your Baker Street Seeded Loaf slices until golden brown then turn over and add the spicy cheese mix, covering all of the sliced bread
  3. Place back under the grill until the cheese has melted and is bubbling
  4. Serve onto a plate and garnish with the fresh chilli and coriander
